Karyn's daily exercise routine

Karyn has a daily exercise routine which she enjoys tremendously. In fact, she likes to show it off to everyone.

This routine started when Mummy discovered Karyn's potential when she was only about 3 weeks old.

When placed over the shoulder, she'll start to lift her head on her own.

Then I will start chanting, "lift your head... exercise your neck... so clever...!" over and over again.

And like a well-trained performer, or a big show-off, whichever way you prefer to describe Karyn, she'll start the routine on demand.

Once I prop her up on the shoulder and start chanting, she'll immediately respond by lifting her head off my shoulder and try to hold it up on her own.

Of course, at times she'll fall flat on her nose. Yup, that has happened countless times before. But Karyn's a courageous girl. She never cries when her nose is slammed on Mummy's shoulder. She'll try and try again to lift her head up.

So now that I have discovered this new ability of Karyn's, I've been putting her through this exercise routine every day.

In fact, she's so good at it now that she can hold her head up high for as long as 40 seconds. No joke! I've timed her before!
