Shopping at IMM

We're going to IMM today!

Vain Mummy wants to take some photos first.

Haha, you must be joking!

What's that stuck on my gum?

Hmm... maybe I can flick it out...

Why is it so hard to reach?

Mummy, are we done with the shopping yet?

I'm so sleepy with all that shopping...

Whatever... I'll catch up on some beauty sleep first.

Ruff!

Don't ask me how

Found my shorts hanging from Karyn's neck after I came out from the shower
(I had hung it over the railing of her cot).

She put the shorts on by herself, no joke!

Aren't you just so proud of me, Mummy?

The brain wants to sleep but the body won't follow

Karyns absolutely L O V E S shopping and nothing can get in her way.

At Parkway Parade today, she was already so exhausted having had shopped at The Concourse (I was window shopping for party supplies in preparation for Karyn's 1st birthday in June) before adjourning to P.P.

During our dinner at the food court, while Hubby went to buy us food, Karyn went to sleep. Or rather, her brain went to sleep. Her body was still shopping; she always sits upright so that she gets the best view from her stroller while we push her around the shopping malls of Singapore.

We tried lowering her stroller seat at least thrice yet every time, she struggles to resume her upright position. So we finally gave up and let her sleep upright. Passers-by must be wondering how these parents could torture their baby this way...

Dozed off in the middle of shopping

Steadying herself, refusing to recline when I tried to lower her seat.

Slowly dozing off again. But STILL sitting upright!

The body is willing but the mind is weak

Karyn drinks Yu Yee Oil

Accidentally of course...

Recently, Karyn loves to reach out and grab things that are (nearly) within her reach. And she has developed a liking for the bottle of Yu Yee Oil (a Chinese traditional ointment that's applied on her tummy to reduce wind and ease tummy aches) that stands beside her changing mat.

One time last week, she managed to put the tip of the bottle into her mouth before I could stop her. Immediately, her face turned tomato red and she stretched her open wide open out of both shock and stinging pain. Amazingly, she didn't cry, just seemed VERY tormented.

I quickly switched on my resourceful mode and in my mind, evaluated and decided on a remedial action. Feeding Karyn water was not going to help remove the sting. So I quickly asked Hubby to get a slice of bread for me to feed her. After eating 2 small pieces of bread, the redness on Karyn's face seemed to subside. Whew! Perhaps the bread really did help to absorb the "hot oil"... How resourceful was I! Haha.

Well, one episode was certainly not sufficient a lesson for Karyn, despite my repeated warnings whenever I put her down on the changing mat after that one incident.

Just look at what happened today... again...

Look closely and you can see tears rolling down her cheeks. Poor thing...

Chewing on bread. See the spot of strawberry jam on her chin? Some sweetness to replace the "spicyness"...

Sugar & spice & everything nice
That's what little girls are made of

What a mess the little girl made!

Karyn has a new pastime - tearing out magazines and strew them all over the floor. Just look at the mess she has created in the living room...

Caught in the act

Trying to escape

Not before I pose for a picture

Now I'd better get out of here!
